On Hiatus

I’ll be MIA for God knows until when for review. It’ll be an in-house review meaning I have to live in school, well, school dormitory for the time being. It’s meant to be fun and easy though. Well, basically, no internet and no any other activities for me.

REVIEW, REVIEW, REVIEW.

Caramoan Get-Away Day 3

Day two of Island hopping! Caramoan has 7 islands and it would be damn impossible to enjoy all of them in a day. The boat ride from island to island is quite long, from 15 minutes to an hour per island. So on first day we get to visit 3 islands and second day, we hopped on 4 islands.

We woke up, changed to swim clothes, have breakfast and so the day begins!

Our first island is like a sad bar. Very shallow and the water was like just above our knees. There were lots of starfish though. And when I said lots, I mean lots. The kids enjoyed the waters but us, adults, not particularly but so-so.

It was particularly hot that day. Scorching hot. After the dip in that island, we went straight to the next. It was still… a sandbar. And as usual, the water was shallow and there’s this sand islet in the middle. The white sand looks so nice placed in there. We had our lunch sitting in the water and it was just the coolest thing we did!

There is this part where as the water gets deeper and has corals, Sea Urchins was laying around everywhere. While we’re swimming, one of the tourist got stung by its spikes and the spike got stuck in her foot. Sea Urchin spikes are poisonous so they need to take the spike immediately. Since we were like in the middle of nowhere, I mean in the middle of an island bar with nothing, their tourist guide began the first aid care. They don’t have tweezers or anything to remove the spike so my Mom’s office mates volunteered me to remove the spike since I have longer nails. They even said I was in the medical field. It was quite embarrassing because since they’ve known that, I thought they would be expecting something from me. So I tried my best to remove it. It took me a long time to remove that shitty spike! I got probably 75% of it out but there’re still a little bit left and it’s not possible to remove it there and they have to take the lady back at the hotel. They thanked me and it was such a nice feeling! It was awesome to think that I actually helped someone. No, really, it was so nice! It was the best part of the get-away all together.

So after the island-hopping, I said to the tour guide that we didn’t get to enjoy deep waters. So while on the way back to the hotel, she let us swam for a few minutes in the middle of the ocean. Again.

After that, I got really sun-burned. When we got back to the hotel, my body ached like hell so I missed dinner at the main hotel and I asked Mom to get me dinner back. It was fun though. All the pain was worth it!

That concludes day 3. CWC coming right up!

Caramoan Get-Away Day 1… and 2

We departed Manila as early as 9:30am for the long drive to Bicol. Just as we reached Makati bound, it was so freakin traffic! But tolerable enough. We met up with the rest of the guys at Petron SLEX. We’re quite a few so we had bought 4 cars all in all. It was a convoy all though out the drive. Second stop over was at Legaspi. My butt hurts already and it’s driving me a little bit crazy. Still tolerable. 9 hours has passed and we had our third stop over at Lolo Ompo and had dinner.

I asked Mom’s friend from Bicol the remaining hours left of the drive because I’m feeling super tired and I so want to lay down right at that moment. She said it was more or less 7-8 hours more. Imagine the shock I felt. Feel’s like I can’t do that anymore. But still did. It was dark when we left Lolo Ompo and the roads get all fucking bumpy. Like really bumpy! Bumpy and curvy. Like I was thinking who the hell made the road that way. It was uncomfortable enough sitting in the car for HOURS and you still get that. It was insane! We reached Naga after 4 hours from Lolo Ompo and they decided we slept the night away because that was whole day driving. We stayed in an abandoned house (doesn’t sound right. /hihi) for the little sleep. It was their office mate’s house. 4 in the morning we head straight to Sabang Port. It was still 3 long hours drive! Then finally we reached the Port we’re supposed to get picked up. We rode the 2 long more hours of boat ride to reach Caramoan main island. By that time, believe me, I so fucking despised travelling because, it was almost 24 hours travelling by land and sea. When we reached Guijalo Port, it was, still… 30 minutes van ride going to hotel. So painful!

Once we’re at the hotel, I didn’t even bother helping them unpack the things and I laid immediately on the bed! We had a few minutes rest then changed to swimming clothes, lunch then headed straight to island hopping.

We had a van ride going to this port where we had to ride motor boats to island hop. Unfortunately, it was a low tide that day so we had to ride this little boat without the balancers on each side. We called them the banana boats. It was so freakin scary I was thinking the whole time it might turn upside down. I was screaming like crazy! Then we reached those boats and island hop for the whole day!

The place was surreal! It was so beautiful it made the agony of travelling there disappear at once! And that’s the first time I can actually feel that the place was magical.

Oh yeah, we actually experienced swimming with deep waters! It was awesome! Though with a life vest of course. That felt awesome! It felt like half on my body felt the warm waters and at the same time my feet felt the cold waters. Such a nice feeling!

That concludes day 1 and 2.

College Retreat

I love retreats. All about it actually. I have been into them ever since high school. We had them like every year and did it in various places like Batangas, Antipolo, everywhere. And each one is memorable.

Before graduation, our school did a retreat. It was a 2-days retreat at Antipolo with all the graduating students. At first I was thinking that maybe it will be in the place the same as where I did my retreat when I was 3rd year HS. When we reached there, the place was kinda familiar. I wasn’t sure enough though. Once there, we did the usual things. Lunch came and that’s where I was sure that it is the same place as we have been years ago. I was feeling nostalgic! Really really nostalgic! All I remembered was the times I had with my high school classmates. The boys room, the girls room, the session hall, the dining hall, everything. I remembered just everything. And with that luck, I had been assigned to the same room I have been in my 3rd year HS retreat. How lucky could I get!

Anyway, the retreat was fun! I cried a lot though. Actually, I think that was the only time you can cry without giving a single fuck to anything. It was fulfilling. Meeting new friends, and realizing new things. And I realized for the first time there that I have been seriously liking him. </3

And you know, this place…

is actually this place…

Just look at that plant on the right side! The same isn’t it?! :)
